Harold and the Purple Crayon - Rigging Showreel

The project lead was responsible for creating the body and face whereas I was responsible for creating the wings. Each feather has individual controls which had to respond with each section of the wing.

The wings needed to be able to fully collapse, hence; the feather system needed to be user friendly enough so that anim could easily pose them without too many intersections.

Additionally, I was responsible for a number of prop rigs. Some, such as the axe; were very basic.

Others such as the spring had to be made bespoke for this sequence and needed to perform for the requirements of this shot. I.e. stopping a boulder from crushing our protagonist.

Some additional bespoke prop rigs include this set of bolas which needed to be able to wrap around Carl.
